In Loving Memory Of Tuff
Tuff came to us as an 11wk old puppy who was bound for the
pound. She was smart and loving from the beginning. Her search &
rescue career started that year in 1996 with Sarasota K9 Search
& Rescue.
She was trained as a Type 1 Wilderness dog and in human remains
detection (land & water). She loved her job. She also loved
visiting school kids to help teach them how to be safe. She had
the uncanny ability to single out a troubled child and, with her
gentle way, make him or her feel special. She made everyone who
met her feel special.
I was honored to have been her partner & companion for 10yrs.
She is deeply missed. She truly was an angel in the form of a
dog. God called her home on 11/5/06. I do not fear dying now
knowing she'll be waiting for me over the Rainbow Bridge.
