Join Us - Membership Information
The Sarasota K-9 Search & Rescue
team is a diverse group of volunteers. Our members include
community-minded individuals working in law enforcement,
firefighters, EMTs, military service, members of the medical
profession, animal care workers, computer professionals, retired
citizens, & homemakers. What we all have in common is a strong
sense of community & love for our four-legged family members. We
welcome volunteers & are working hard in fundraising efforts
toward building our own training facility.
We encourage all those interested
in joining our team to talk with a senior team member about time
and training requirements before filling out the application for
membership. Should you have any questions about joining, or
would like to schedule a visit to one of our training sessions,
please don't hesitate to
email us.
Once your application is
received, an interview will be scheduled. We hold new member
orientation twice a year. We look forward to meeting you and
welcoming you into the Sarasota Search & Rescue Family!

Notice September, 2008:
The SSAR will be closing its application doors for the
year. All applications received will be held on file.
No interviews will be scheduled until after our annual meet
and greet in July, 2009.
